For the past seven years, Myrle has led memoir writing classes for senior centers, churches, retirement living centers, OSHER Lifelong Learning, the DE Cancer Support Community, AARP and other groups.
Her forthcoming book is based on leading workshops for Jewish Family Services of Delaware, for which she received their Volunteer of the Year “Mensch” Award.

Book Myrle for an engaging presentation at your conference or event. Myrle shares her personal story, as well as her endearing tales from her experience helping hundreds of others frame the narrative of their life. Myrle is available to deliver keynote speeches, breakout sessions, and conference workshops.
In October 2018, Myrle was a breakout session presenter at the national conference of the Village-to-Village Network, an organization of 350 Villages which help older adults age well, providing professional and volunteer services. Her subject, “Benefits of Workshops for Villages and Their Members”, included “How-To” information for establishing and nurturing the groups.
Myrle Gilpin Bowe earned a BS degree in Business (Marketing) from California State University Northridge; an MA in Urban Affairs and an MBA from the University of Delaware. She has managed small businesses and worked in large corporations, and was an investment broker and financial planner for 25 years.

Her forthcoming book, “Memoirs of a Memoir Coach: How to Nurture a Long-running Group,” is based on leading workshops for Jewish Family Services of Delaware, for which she received their Volunteer of the Year “Mensch” Award.
Myrle has been a dedicated volunteer for most of her life. Her assignments have included work as a writer, editor and planner on the Delaware AARP Communications Task Force, and articles and press releases for various organizations. For four decades she was a member of the Executive Board or Advisory Board of the Delmarva Boy Scout Council, with particular responsibilities in the teenage co-ed Exploring program.
